Care Creates Community
From the very beginning, what we do has been driven by the power
of human relationships: we care about people, where they want
to go, and how we can help get them there. From strengthening
connections with our clients, to fostering leadership within our
teams, we've built an extraordinary community that continues to
grow and thrive along with us.
Making an impact
As one of our guiding principles, we advocate responsible
citizenship and active engagement in the diverse communities we
serve. We are dedicated to making a real difference by targeting

Each year, we select 'Community Partners' whose missions and
programs are dedicated to at least one of these concerns, and
engage with them in a variety of different ways, from major gifts
and event sponsorships to pro bono work, group volunteerism, and
in-kind donations.
By empowering our employees to give back to these and other
causes they care about, Wimmer helps create a robust community
fabric. Our Community Engagement Program is designed to 'wake
people up' to the power of giving by aligning them with local
organizations whose work matches their own skills and
interests.
From skills-based volunteer opportunities to our generous
charitable gift match program, there are plenty of ways to get
involved. In the past year, Wimmer and our employees have:
- Served on boards of directors and
organizing committees for local nonprofits and volunteerism
organizations, such as Boys
and Girls Clubs of King County, Out in Front,
Corporate Volunteer Council of Puget Sound, Team Jesse Foundation, and Human Doings
- Volunteered their time as tutors,
mentors, and community allies for local youth
- Competed in marathons, triathlons,
bike rides, snow shoe treks, golf tournaments, adventure races and
walk-a-thons to raise money for their favorite causes
- Sponsored major fundraising events
for Ashoka's Youth Venture, Microsoft Alumni
Foundation, Boys and
Girls Clubs of King County and Team Jesse
Foundation
- Organized and participated in a
wide range of educational events, fundraisers and community
panels
