Kevin Higman, President and COO

From his time as a Navy pilot (he flew the Lockheed P-3 Orion, if you're curious) and flight instructor on 737s at Boeing, to time spent as the Director of Technology for a company that provided design and support for high-end homes in the Puget Sound area, Kevin Higman's career has led him to discover a particular love and talent for building teams, and creating environments where those teams thrive.

A full-time member of Wimmer's in-house team since 2007 Kevin's job is two-fold. In his role as President, Kevin works with founder and CEO Matt Sauri and the executive leadership team to chart Wimmer's strategic direction.  In his role as COO, Kevin steers day-to-day operations at Wimmer's waterfront offices in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood, and has built an open, collaborative culture focusing on responsiveness, flexibility both for and from team members, and a balance of oversight and scalable process. Kevin's engaging leadership style is a strong force for building Wimmer's community, both in the office, and among our 300+ consultants in the field.

An alumnus of the University of Washington, Kevin graduated with a degree in Oceanography, pursuing his childhood fascination with Jacques Cousteau. In his off time, it's not unusual to find Kevin in green, bellowing from the stands as a proud Seattle Sounders supporter. At home, Kevin's a tinkerer. Home improvement projects and design, carpentry, video games with his kids (we're assured he's pretty good at a few of them), and time in the garden help him unwind and refocus.
