Nicole Browning,
Director of Marketing, Communications & Community Outreach
An alumna of Cornell University and former member of the US
National Rowing Team (she won a silver medal in the Women's 8+
event at the 2006 World Cup), Nicole joined the Wimmer Solutions
team in 2008.
Today, she's responsible for Wimmer's Marketing, Corporate
Communications and Community Outreach Programs. Nicole provides
marketing support to our internal organizations, oversees all
company communication channels, and guides research to support
data-driven decision making in both areas. She has also taken the
lead in building Wimmer Solutions' innovative Community Engagement
Program from the ground up, working with partners toward impactful
solutions to community needs, and developing program structure to
connect employees with meaningful giving and volunteerism
opportunities. Nicole is also Wimmer's representative on the
Steering Committee for the
Corporate Volunteer Council of Puget Sound.
In her own community, Nicole is an avid volunteer and was
recently named to the Board of Directors for Pride Foundation, which
connects and strengthens Northwest organizations, leaders, and
students who are creating LGBTQ equality. She also serves on the
Board for Camp Ten Trees, an
engaging youth summer camp for LGBTQ communities and their allies
that works to promote social justice; and on the Steering Committee
and is the Marketing Committee Co-Chair for Out in Front, which
works to train the next generation of LGBTQ community
leaders.
In her off time, Nicole can be found hitting the trails (on foot)
or the roads (on wheels with the Husky Cycling Club), navigating
Seattle's waterways in the double scull with her wife Anne, or
improving her stand-up paddleboard technique on the surf breaks of
Maui. When she's not working or working up a sweat, you can catch
Nicole cruising the freeways in her '82 Fiat Spider, hanging with
felines Karl and Leon, or brunoising her way through her other
passion: experimental cooking.
