Announcing the 2014 Jefferson Award Winners
Wimmer Solutions is proud to recognize community leaders
in our state through Washington State's Jefferson Awards.
Regarded as the "Nobel Prize" for public service, this
award honors "unsung heroes" for their volunteerism and action to
make the world a better place. Since 2013, we have partnered with
City Club, Microsoft, Starbucks, Safeco, and the United Way of King County to present
this prestigious award to five "unsung heroes" from

Winners will be honored at a community celebration in April, and
one will represent our state at the national awards ceremony in
Washington DC. Winners also receive donated services to advance
their work provided by United Way and Wimmer Solutions.

About the awards:
Founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft,
Jr. and Sam Beard, the Jefferson Awards a national recognition
program that honors achievements in public service in our country.
Since then, the Jefferson Awards have recognized more than 50,000
unsung heroes in grassroots communities across the nation.
