Nominate Your Hero for the 2014 Jefferson Awards
For the second year in a row, Wimmer Solutions is excited
to come together with Microsoft, Starbucks, Safeco, Seattle
CityClub and KING 5 to recognize five exemplary Washingtonian
volunteers through the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. This
"Nobel Prize" for public service honors people who make a
difference in their community, our nation and the world through
their jobs or volunteer service.
The public is encouraged to nominate champion volunteers
for the 2014 Washington State Jefferson
Awards, the regional arm of a national recognition
program established in 1972 by the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
and Senator Robert Taft Jr. Each year, the award recognizes unsung
heroes of public service who demonstrate the highest ideals and
achievements of community service.
"Gold medal" winners will be judged by a panel of
community leaders and they will be formally recognized at a special
reception in April. Wimmer Solutions is providing
pro bono consulting services to each of the five winners to further
their efforts and take their organizational initiatives to the next
level by leveraging Wimmer Solutions' full range of competencies,
from web development to marketing and communications consultation
to project management and oversight. One winner will be selected to
represent our state at the national ceremonies in Washington
