2011 Washington's Best Workplaces Event
For the second consecutive year, Wimmer was honored as a bronze
medalist in the Puget Sound Business Journal's Washington's Best
Workplaces contest! Out of 25 companies in the Small Company
category, we were proud to be recognized as a leader in taking care
of our employees.
On Thursday, August 11th, Wimmer employees made their way to
Safeco field to learn the results of the Best Workplaces
competition and celebrate with other honorees.
"Having our name up on the jumbotron for the second year in a
row is a big achievement" says President Kevin Higman. "It really
speaks about Wimmer's culture that the employees feel the
authenticity of our values."
The Best Workplaces Awards are highly coveted for a reason - the
companies are chosen based on their employee ratings, making the
outcome a reflection of each company's values and atmosphere as
experienced by those who work there. As the research shows, the
happiest employees are not only the most productive, but also
report a healther, well-balanced approach to work and the ability
to enjoy life more outside of the office.
In addition to winning the Bronze, Wimmer Solutions was also
featured in several Washington's Best Workplaces Photo Contest
categories. Wimmer placed first in Best Composition, Best Community
Outreach Photo, and Best Office Day Out, and had two Honorable
Mention photos.
