Hitting the Links for Lupus

On August 9th, 2011, Wimmer Solutions' Brian Webb and Mike Hill headed out bright and early to a golf tournament held at Echo Falls golf club in Snohomish, WA. What made this different from other golf outings, however, was that this tournament benefitted the Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific NW Chapter. Webb, Hill, and their teammates were sponsored by Wimmer to participate in the tournament. On top of aiding the Foundation, they also managed to come in 5th place out of 25 teams.

Webb is no stranger to the cause; his wife, Tonita Webb, is President of the Board of Directors for the Northwest Chapter. Because lupus (a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of various parts of the body) still has no cure, The Lupus Foundation strives to raise awareness and accelerate the pace of medical exploration to make clinical research more feasible.

You can still help this great cause and learn more about Lupus by visiting The Lupus Foundation of America NW Chapter website.

Congratulations to our fantastic foursome!

We're always looking for new ideas for events and activities that align with the values of Wimmer community:

Think - Advancing Education
Dream - Supporting Future leaders
Team - Promoting Health and Wellness through Team Activities

If you have an idea to share, or would like us to consider partnering with a nonprofit organization whose work is in one of these areas, please let us know!
