Team Jesse Ride: Mission Complete

This summer, Wimmer Solutions was proud to be one of the main
sponsors for an incredible 95-day bike journey across the United
States. On 9/11, this ambitious feat concluded with a fittingly
moving moment, where Kevin Mincio and our own Matt Sauri weaved
their way through the heavy security cordons around Ground Zero in
New York City to be a part of the dedication for the new 911
Memorial.
Wimmer's President, Kevin Higman, flew to NY to participate with
Team Jesse in the 911 Heroes Run 5k and to greet Kevin Mincio and
Matt Sauri in person to congratulate them on achieving their main
mission - safely completing the ride together. Of course, all the
money raised to help the families of fallen soldiers on this ride
is a story unto itself. With Wimmer's focus on specific areas of
partnering with the community:
Think - Advancing Education
Dream - Supporting Future leaders
Team - Promoting Health and Wellness through Team Activities
This event was a perfect opportunity to step forward and provide
funding to cover operational expenses for the ride. By having
sponsors cover these expenses, every dollar raised was able to go
directly to the families of fallen soldiers. "Seeing Kevin and Matt
after for the first time since they left Seattle was a surreal
experience", said Kevin Higman. " I followed their blogs and
progress which made me feel as if I knew the daily story of the
trip and the families they touched on the journey - but to actually
see them ride in on their bikes and to be able to give them each a
hug - was truly an incredible experience. Wimmer was honored to be
approached by Kevin Mincio to help him plan this great quest and to
have our CEO and founder decide to ride every mile with Kevin on
this trek."
Team Jesse will live past this event and continue their inspiring
and tremendous missions. Stay tuned for an interview with Matt upon
his return in which we'll learn more about his experience on the
Ride and the huge impact the team made on families in need across
the country.
