Matt Sauri Dons Kilt in Seattle Ronald McDonald House "Men In Kilts" Fundraiser

Wimmer Solutions CEO Matt Sauri dons Lacrosse gear and Kilt for RMHC Men in Kilts Fundraiser

The results are in for the Men in Kilts annual fundraiser that benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Western Washington & Alaska!

RMHC provides a home-away-from-home for more than 400 families a year, who have a child receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. In 2015 alone, they saved families $4 million dollars in living expenses and offered over 28,000 nights of stay for those in need.  The House is more than a place to stay, as it also offers support to families with a pantry, therapy dog visits, activities for kids, and even homemade dinners from volunteers most days of the week.

This year's competition raised an astounding $71,280! This amount will provide families with approximately 2,376 nights of much needed shelter at the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, along with a sense of community and belonging in a time of crisis.

Stephens[/caption]Although Matt Sauri wasn’t crowned King of the Kilts (that honor goes to former RMHC residents Les & Leslie Hastings, congratulations!), he was able to raise $8,810 in the competition. This will provide almost 300 nights for RMHC families while their child is undergoing medical treatment.

Matt was honored to be included among the brave contestants who bared their legs this year. Other "Men In Kilts" contestants included Kieran Whitney from Alaska Airlines and several Seattle Sounders FC players!   If you would like to help house families in need year-round, please visit rmhcseattle.org to learn more about the rewards of volunteering for RMHC.
